“Scottish percussionist Evelyn Glennie is a stunning performer. The Grammy-award winning musician has played in dozens of orchestras and collaborated with the likes of Bjork, Bela Fleck and Leonard Slatkin. She also happens to be deaf. How can she make such beautiful music, especially with musicians who would be lost without their own auditory faculties? It shouldn’t be possible, but Glennie does it, playing in bare feet so that she can do what she calls “hearing with all parts of my body…”
