ΞTRON® α ALPHA
NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Product is no longer available.
The ΞTRON® α ALPHA Series of power cables represent a new concept in power delivery. Three, similarly priced power cables, that are optimized for different types of audio components. One specifically tuned for digital type components that emit ultra high frequency noise. Another designed specifically for analog type components that have linear power supplies. And the third designed for high-current draw components such as high power amplifiers.
There have been many power cords that claim to reduce power line noise. Invariably they use ferrous metals (ferrite) or carbon impregnated insulations or just a common shield. Yet, none of these products can demonstrate actual measurements of their efficacy. These common solutions have obvious colorations such as dynamic compression and a dulling, or darkening of the sound.
The ΞTRON® α ALPHA HC power cable has noise reduction capabilities so significant that they can be measured with a power analyzer. More importantly, even a brief evaluation will yield an unmistakable improvement in the performance of any high current component in a sound, recording or video system. The ΞTRON® α ALPHA HC is tuned specifically for the massive impulse noise generated by very high current power supplies. It delivers a dramatic measurable reduction in both component and power line generated noise.
The ΞTRON® α ALPHA ANALOG power cord delivers a dramatic reduction in measured noise without any side-effects, leading to clearer visual images and better sound in every conceivable analog application!
The ΞTRON® α ALPHA DIGITAL power cable has noise reduction capabilities so significant that they can be measured with a power analyzer. More importantly, even a brief evaluation will yield an unmistakable improvement in the performance of any digital component in a sound, recording or video system. The ΞTRON® α ALPHA DIGITAL is tuned specifically for the ultra high Megahertz and Gigahertz noise generated by digital component power supplies. It delivers a dramatic measurable reduction in both component and power line generated noise. There have been many power cords that claim to be designed for digital electronics. Invariably they use ferrous metals (ferrite) or carbon impregnated insulations or just a common shield. Yet, none of these products can demonstrate actual measurements of their efficacy. IN A NUTSHELL
The functional core of the ΞTRON® α ALPHA DIGITAL is a hybrid ΞTRON® circuit which demonstrates a measurable reduction of power line noise. The ΞTRON® α ALPHA DIGITAL is essentially a dedicated power conditioner without the associated chassis, extra outlets, added cost and extra power cable of a traditional power conditioner!

Test Procedure
– The DUT (power cord) is plugged into a standard wall outlet.
– The lamp is connected to the IEC end of power cord and acts as a load device.
– The power analyzer leads are connected across Hot and Neutral at the exit of the power cord IEC.
– The paper shredder is plugged into the second outlet of the duplex where the DUT is connected.
– The shredder is turned on and the AC waveform is captured by the Fluke power analyzer.
– This test is repeated for each power cord.
APPLICATIONS: ALPHA ANALOG
The ALPHA ANALOG power cord utilizes Gabriel’s proprietary ΞTRON® technology that has been designed specifically to reduce the frequencies of noise that are most commonly associated with ANALOG component power supplies. The noise-filter elements used in the ALPHA ANALOG are entirely passive and non-reactive, meaning they will never get in the way of current flow, nor will they interfere with the power supplies of the components. the ALPHA ANALOG is the ideal power cord counterpart to any ANALOG component application.
Suggested Applications
– Phono electronics of all types
– Pre-amps
– Amps
– Power conditioners
– Tuners
– Reel To Reel Decks
APPLICATIONS: ALPHA DIGITAL
The ALPHA DIGITAL power cord was designed specifically to eliminate the high-frequency noise associated with all digital source and computer system components that are now common to most high-performance audio/video systems. ALPHA DIGITAL represents the first line of defense that prevents noise from being shared as interference with other electronics in the system. The ALPHA DIGITAL uses massive ten gauge conductors so there is no compromise to DTCD (Dynamic Transient Current Delivery) but should be used for front end digital components, rather than digital amps. For digital amps, the ALPHA HC or SIGMA HC would be the most ideal in terms of performance.
The ALPHA DIGITAL power cord utilizes Gabriel’s proprietary ΞTRON® circuit that has been designed specifically to reduce the extreme high frequency noise that is most commonly associated with digital source component power supplies. The noise-filter elements used in the ALPHA DIGITAL power cord are entirely passive and non-reactive, meaning they will never get in the way of current flow, nor will they interfere with the power supplies of the components. No matter how complex or well designed a digital power supply is, the ALPHA DIGITAL power cord will deliver a consistent, dramatic performance upgrade to literally any DIGITAL component application.
The ΞTRON® α ALPHA DIGITAL is specifically tuned to deal with noise generated by digital type devices.
Suggested Applications
– All Digital Source components
– DAC’s
– Digital Clocks
– Servers
– Transports
– Upsamplers
– LED Video
– HD TV
– Computers
– Disk Arrays
APPLICATIONS: ALPHA HIGH CURRENT
The ALPHA HIGH CURRENT power cord was developed exclusively for extreme high-current applications such as amplifiers and power conditioners such as the HYDRA TRITON, tasked with powering full systems of electronics. Every facet of the ALPHA HC has been optimized for maximum DTCD (Dynamic Transient Current Delivery) efficiency due to its massive 10 AWG x 2 conductors compliment and minimal measured impedance.
The ALPHA HC also utilizes Gabriel’s proprietary ΞTRON® circuit that has been designed specifically to reduce the frequencies of noise that are most commonly associated with high-current components such as amps, projectors and multi-component power conditioners. The noise-filter elements used in the ALPHA HC are entirely passive and non-reactive, meaning they will never get in the way of current flow, nor will they interfere with the power supplies of the components, making the ALPHA HC the ideal compliment to any high-current application.
For more modestly powered amps or power conditioners with lighter loads, the ALPHA ANALOG is more than large enough for all but the most extreme high-performance applications.
Suggested Applications
– High-Current Amplifiers
– High-Current capable power conditioners (HYDRA TRITON)
– High-Performance Projectors
– Recording Panels (Neve 88 and others)
– High-Current Subwoofers (Wilson’s Thor’s Hammer etc)
