I’m delighted to report that I was able to get everything up & running, last evening (Gemini-8 and Gamma XC)! I have to say, WOW! I was not expecting to hear a literally instantaneous difference, but that is indeed what I heard! Normally, I have to let my Electrocompaniet preamp warm up for 30 minutes, given its Class A design, & it was on for barely 10 minutes, & I had my Tuner on. As I’m sure you know, heavily compressed FM signals rarely sound very good, but the difference that I heard was truly startling! Never before has FM sounded so good in my system! I waited another 25 mins or so, then played 2 CD’s back to back. (It was too late for my ultra neurotic LP maintenance routine!) Again, never before have I heard a level of clarity, & “Oomph”, for lack of a better term! I’m embarrassed to admit, that I didn’t realize just how important power is! Well, I fully understand, now!!! And to think that this is going to get even better, after 10-12 hours? It’s almost unimaginable, to me!
I decided that I wanted to maximize my Analog playback, so I researched Interconnects. Various brands/price ranges/retailers, etc. Asked opinions, & anytime I bought up the Sigma V2’s, I got an enthusiastic, “Now, those are on a whole other level” type reaction, from anyone I spoke to. I never considered paying that much for a pair of Interconnects, as I just didn’t believe that I’d hear a difference enough to warrant the cost. As you may know, MD offers a 60 day, money back, on almost everything, so I thought it worth taking the risk, so to speak. Well, once again, I was wrong, & I couldn’t be happier, or more impressed w/ what I’m hearing! I hear more details in every selection I play, regardless of if it’s Mono or Stereo! While it’s not a day/night difference to the Wireworld Interconnects I had going from my Phono Stage to the main Pre., I hear a noticeable difference, & that’s what I want!
Since the introduction, & implementation into my System of the 3 Shunyata products, literally everything I listen to, whether it be Analog, or Digital, is “As never before”!
So, this is to once again, say THANK YOU, for making truly incredible products, that make such a difference in my favorite Hobby!
