Scott,
I received my Venom PS10 and Defender from the Cable Company yesterday. I finally got them hooked up today, with only my DAC not on the PS10 as I need a longer quality power cord which should arrive by Thursday.
I simply can hardly believe the difference these two products have made. Sound stage is more distinct with instrument location and improved tonal and timbral qualities, background more silent, and there is almost a sense of the performers being in the room—with great depth of the sound stage—I think “clarity” may be the most representative word to use. The sound is much more clear and … … “organic.” Right now, I am listening to “Haunted” by the Moody Blues and now “Amazing Grace” by Judy Collin’s, and it is simply astounding. Just listened to the Moody Blues “Never Comes the Day” like I have never heard it before. WOW!
I am retiring my Isotek power strips to my office and bedroom systems and may have to order two more Defenders for those modest systems.
