FORGED IN DISCOVERY, PERFECTED THROUGH INNOVATION

Everest-X is the most advanced power distributor in Shunyata Research’s 25-year history. As the successor to the award-winning Everest 8000, it marks a dramatic leap forward in the pursuit of absolute fidelity for recording, mastering, and listening systems.

Built on decades of research and scientific refinement, Everest-X is designed to redefine performance expectations in power delivery. Whether supporting world-class studios or elevating home audio systems, Everest-X delivers resolution without compromise.

With its patented technologies and proprietary components, Everest-X supplies clean power to multiple components while blocking both power-line and component-to-component noise. Compared to traditional power conditioners, it reveals sound with striking physical timing and extended silence. The lowered noise floor and absence of distortion make music feel more immediate and dynamic, as if driven by more powerful amplification. The result is a profoundly quiet background that reveals newfound harmonic textures and lifelike presence from instruments and voices.

Everest-X is available in two form factors to accommodate different system layouts: the original vertical tower and a low-profile shelf model designed to fit standard audio racks. Both versions are internally identical, sharing the same groundbreaking design, noise-reduction capabilities, and award-winning performance.

Recording Artist David Rawlings &
Recording Engineer Brent Bishop: Woodland Studios, Nashville TN

David Rawlings invited Shunyata Research to visit Woodland Studio through a referral from Brian Speiser, sound engineer for the Tedeschi-Trucks Band. After spending a full day getting to know the many facets and sound rooms at Woodland Studio, Shunyata's Grant Samuelsen and Scott Wheeler oversaw the installation of Shunyata Research's system of products to the analog chain and lacquer cutting system, as well as the console room, where David and engineer Brent Bishop mentioned they had experienced issues with noise and distortion.

There were immediate audible results, including a lowered noise floor, revealing even greater detail in their recording and lacquer cutting process. As a result of both listening and measurement, Shunyata Research's full system of products are now a permanent part of Woodland Studio's iconic, state of the art sound systems.

"We performed an additional evaluation within our mastering chain using the Shunyata Everest-X. We immediately noted an improvement in the tape machine’s noise floor, along with a reduction just shy of 3 dBu in the higher frequency range. Notably, the high-frequency noise peaks previously detected by the analyzer were no longer present. As a result, I now consider our mastering chain’s noise floor to be exceptional. Our lathe's cutting amps and tape machine are now living on our Everest-X."

-Dave Rawlings, Brent Bishop

GROUNDBREAKING TECHNOLOGY

icon-tapc-200px

TAPc (Transverse Axial Polarizer) is a patent-pending technology that couples to the electromagnetic fields surrounding electrical or signal conductors. TAPc behaves like a polarizer, passively reducing electromagnetic distortion that presents as a type of glare or compression on sound or images.

icon-qrbb-200px

‌‌QR/BB™ is a patented technology which acts as an instantaneous energy reserve when placed in-line with an AC power supply. It dramatically enhances the perception of dynamic impact, timing and scale in sound when connected to amplifiers or other analog-output electronics.
~ Patent: US 10,031,536 ~

icon-harp-200px

HARP addresses current drift and audio-frequency current resonances that can occur in conductors, analogous to standing waves in room acoustics. Acting as a current-mode diffraction device, the HARP module disrupts these resonances, improving the system’s perceived resolution, focus, and coherence.

icon-nic-200px

‌‌The NIC™ (Noise Isolation Chamber) is a patented technology that reduces high frequency power line noise. It absorbs high frequency noise without any of the reactive negatives associated with transformers, chokes, coils or large capacitors used in more conventional power conditioners.
~ Patent US 8,658,892 ~

icon-gpnr-200px

GPNR (Ground Plane Noise Reduction) is an advanced ground noise filtering system derived from our Altaira ground hubs. GPNR provides continuous ground-plane noise reduction and dramatically lowers the system’s noise floor, preserving clarity, enhancing timing precision, and revealing subtle musical and spatial detail.

icon-cci-200px

CCI™ filters have the unique ability to reduce component-generated power line noise without inhibiting DTCD® (Dynamic Transient Current Delivery). This unique micro-filtering approach prevents power line noise from one component from contaminating other electronics in the system.

icon-kpipv2-200px

Shunyata Research’s proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process (KPIP v2™) refines conductor and terminal metals at the atomic level. This dramatically reduces burn-in time and significantly improves sonic performance, delivering a relaxed and life-like presentation.

icon-dtcd-tall-200px

DTCD® Analysis is a proprietary measurement technique developed to measure instantaneous current flow through very low impedance electrical conductors and contacts. It is used to optimize the design of electrical parts and materials, ensuring optimal instantaneous current delivery.

icon-copperconn-200px

CopperCONN® connectors and outlets feature pure copper contacts, providing substantially higher conductivity than conventional brass or bronze contacts. Since the contact’s base metal carries the majority of the current, this superior conductivity translates directly into audible performance gains.

icon-cmode-200px

CMode is an advanced filter that effectively reduces common-mode noise without introducing the sonic compression effects associated with conventional filters. By reducing this distortion, CMode helps deliver an analog ease and palpable background silence, closing the gap between digital and analog systems.
