The most revolutionary feature designed into Shunyata Research's ground cables are the innovative Ground Tail Adapters. Tail adapters are short cables that are designed to plug into the standard base cable using the STIS™️ v3 terminal system. They facilitate the ability to tap into the grounds of many common signal connectors. Tails eliminate the need to make custom cables that become obsolete when the entertainment system changes. Tails can be used on any of the CGC/SGC base cables from Gamma model through to the Omega-X model.
*Ground Tails are specially constructed so that ONLY the grounds are interconnected. NO signals or signal wires are connected together. Under no circumstances should customers use any standard analog or digital interconnect cables to ground components to Altaira.
Available Ground Tail Adapters include RCA, XLR-F, XLR-M, USB-A, USB-B, S/PDIF, BNC, Spade and Ethernet.
AC GROUND ADAPTOR
This Ground-adaptor has been built to our specification so that the ground pin is made from a more conductive metal. The ultra-low resistance metal creates a lower-resistance true earth contact for the grounding hub, which is the most critical performance connection for the grounding system--the ground contact with Earth ground and the ground cable connecting from true the the main post on the ground hub.
GROUNDBREAKING TECHNOLOGY
ArNi® is Shunyata Research’s proprietary audio-grade wire, manufactured to standards well beyond conventional conductors. It combines ultra-pure copper, advanced conductor geometries, premium fluorocarbon insulation, and KPIP v2™ treatment to preserve resolution, clarity, and dynamic expression.
Fluorocarbon dielectrics have unique electrical characteristics: very low dielectric absorption, high dielectric strength and exceptional heat resistance. In Shunyata Research cables it reduces the perception of dynamic compression and it improves low-level resolution and clarity.
Ring terminals, spades, bolts and washers are often dismissed as “trivial parts.” Shunyata Research manufactures many of these components from pure copper rather than tinned brass. This attention to even the smallest details distinguishes every Shunyata Research product.
Shunyata Research uses only the highest purity of copper available for the production of its wire products. OFE Alloy 101 or C10100 has a minimum 99.99% purity and a conductivity rating of 101% IACS. C10100 is the only grade of copper that comes with a written certification of purity.
